Doctor-led.
Doctor-owned.
Drip 280 was built on a simple premise: that the Birmingham 280 corridor deserves access to the same level of medical oversight and wellness care that professional athletes and high performers have always had. Every drip, every session, every protocol starts there.
The physician behind
every protocol.
Most IV therapy lounges operate without a physician on the clinical team. Drip 280 was built differently. Dr. Daniel Smith oversees every protocol, every formula, and every clinical decision made at Drip, not as a figurehead, but as an active physician whose fingerprints are on everything we do.
Dr. Smith is a board-certified physician with fellowship training in Primary Care Sports Medicine at the American Sports Medicine Institute, one of the most respected sports medicine training programs in the country. His background spans team physician roles for professional and collegiate athletic programs, which means his framework for IV therapy isn't wellness marketing. It's the same performance and recovery science he's applied to elite athletes throughout his career.
Outside of Drip, Dr. Smith practices at Andrews Sports Medicine in Birmingham, where he focuses on keeping athletes and active people performing at their best. His approach is rooted in one principle: the body performs better when it has what it needs. Drip 280 is the infrastructure he built to deliver that at scale, for everyone in the Birmingham area, not just elite performers.

Built for this community.
The Birmingham 280 corridor is full of people who work hard, raise families, compete, and push themselves. We started with a simple question: why should physician-supervised wellness care be something you have to drive across town for? It shouldn't. Drip 280 exists to bring the kind of targeted, medically sound recovery care elite performers have always had to everyone here, in a 30 to 45 minute session, with no appointment needed after your free intro.
Medical oversight, every visit
Every protocol, formula, and clinical decision is overseen by Dr. Smith. This isn't a wellness lounge staffed by unlicensed technicians. It's a physician-directed practice.
Licensed nurses, every session
Every IV line is started by a certified registered nurse or nurse practitioner. The same standard used in clinical settings, applied to every visit.
Local and independent
Drip 280 is a local, independent practice, not a corporate chain. The physician who designs and owns it is right here in the Birmingham area.
We can't wait to
take care of you.
Our nurses are incredible, every single one of them. They'll make sure you're comfortable, answer every question, and build the right session for what you're dealing with. New clients start with a free 10-minute intro. Returning clients are welcome to walk in anytime during business hours.
